Al-Hira Educational society Nepal was established in 1994 A.D with the sole aim of fulfillment of the educational need of Muslim community of Nepal. Our vision is to enable the new generation of Muslim Ummah to face the challenges through an Islamic and balanced modern education system. Since its establishment, the society is managing and working very hard to spread the light of knowledge by establishing Madarsas and schools in different parts of Nepal to improve its situation. Apart from these educational activities, Al-Hira is also carrying out different types of workshops, seminar, and other educational awareness program to improve the deteriorating condition of Muslim in Nepal.
Illiteracy among Nepalese Muslim is glaring. The literacy rate for the country is 65.9% whereas for Muslims it is only 45%. Al-Hira Educational Society Nepal is a leading educational organization working to change this situation and improve the educational level of Nepalese Muslims thereby bringing positive changes in the community and country. The Society aims to empower and enable the new generation to lead the community and the nation in every sphere of life.
Al-Hira is registered with the government and affiliated to “Social Welfare Council” of Government of Nepal. The Society has a balanced curriculum for teaching and training students in order to produce devoted and dedicated modern personalities towards Muslim Ummah. It runs a total of 13 educational institutions and one orphanage in different parts of the country. Two institutions are only for girls. Of the 13 institutions, 02 are High (Secondary level) schools which we are planning to upgrade to Higher Secondary level.
